Sport is a universal language, regardless of nationalities or cultural backgrounds. It plays an important role from physical strength to the enhancement of communication. As such, Huang Yicong Foundation promotes sportsmanship and collaborates with universities and educational institutes on cross-cultural exchange programs to cultivate young adults to fulfill this goal.
This also works parallel to the intention of the San Francisco Vision reached by the leaders of China and the U.S., aspiring to expand the depth of nonofficial and cultural exchanges between China and the U.S. at various levels.
In the summer of 2024, the Foundation held a China-US Basketball Summer Exchange at Tsinghua University. By inviting players from the Ivy League schools, players from both countries trained, spent time touring Beijing landmarks and enjoyed Chinese cuisines together. The final mixed matches highlighted the exchange with passionate audiences at Tsinghua’s stadium.
This debut program encourages the Foundation to conduct more exchange programs of the like in the future.
